There are two Meerkat Colonies at Greystone
The meerkat colonies are easy to spot but, unless you are very lucky, you will need to sit quietly on one of the rocky knolls overlooking them for some time before you see any meerkat moving |

Jackal at the Waterhole
Since this is a nature reserve we of course have a range of predators who help keep nature in balance. The jackal is the largest of these but you will be very lucky to see one of these very shy animals |

We have breeding pairs of egyptian geese here that raise yound every year |

Cape Robin
Very territorial, these guys will give you a hard time if you stray into their home ranges! |

Masked Weaver
Weaver birds live in most of the trees around the chalets and dam - the cherry tree behind chalet 1 is always bald on its top as the weavers strip off leaves to make room for their nests |
